Building a prototype?
You have something that seems to work on the surface, but want to know whether the underlying technology makes sense before investing more time or money.

AI makes it easier to build something. Knowing whether it’s ready for your next milestone is a different question.

Gain confidence in your prototypeYou’re ready to put your software in front of customers, but want to understand what could go wrong — and what needs attention before real people rely on it.
Gain confidence before launchYou’ve created something useful, but want to know whether it handles your business data appropriately and will be reliable enough for everyday use.
Gain confidence in your internal toolYou want a clearer picture of your technology, its risks and its limitations — so you can answer investors’ technical questions and explain what needs improving.
Gain confidence before investment discussionsA clear picture of your software, with recommendations you can act on.

Let’s agree a review around your next milestone.
Discuss your reviewReviews from £300
Based on the complexity and size of your project. Fee agreed before any work starts.
Ask about a review for your projectThe review is shaped around your next milestone. A small prototype and a customer-facing application don’t need the same level of scrutiny.
Does it do what you expect — including when inputs are unexpected or something goes wrong?
Are accounts, permissions, secrets and sensitive information handled appropriately?
Can someone understand, change and support it without breaking something else?
Are there avoidable bottlenecks, inefficient queries or unexpectedly expensive services?
Can you release updates, spot problems, back up important data and recover when needed?
Where relevant: are data flows, model outputs and third-party integrations handled sensibly?
A scoped technical assessment, not a security certification or a guarantee that software is risk-free. Specialist testing may be recommended where needed.
We discuss what it does, who will use it, your concerns and the milestone you’re working towards.
We agree access, deliverables, timing and a fee before the review starts. No open-ended engagement.
I examine the relevant code and setup, prepare the findings, and walk you through the recommendations.
Use your prioritised recommendations to decide what needs attention before your next milestone and what can wait.
I’m a software and data engineer with more than a decade of experience building production systems. My specialism is data, but my work spans applications, backend systems, cloud infrastructure and practical AI.
I bring a generalist’s view of how the pieces fit together — and a pragmatic approach to deciding what matters now, what can wait, and when specialist expertise is needed.
I’ve built a financial data platform supporting over 100,000 clients, delivered customer-facing analytics, and redesigned a processing platform to reduce AWS costs by 90%.
Email me a brief description of your project, your next milestone and your main concern.
I’ll reply to clarify what you need and whether I’m a good fit. We’ll then agree the scope, fee and timing before you decide to go ahead.
I work across application development, data, backend systems, frontend integrations and AI. We’ll discuss your stack first. If your project needs expertise outside my remit, I’ll say so before we agree the work.
Yes. After completing the review, I’ll have a good understanding of your project. If you need help resolving issues before your next milestone, I’d be happy to provide an additional quote for suitable work.
Reviews start from £300, based on the complexity and size of your project. We’ll agree the fee and delivery timing before any work starts.
We’ll agree confidentiality requirements, minimum necessary access and how materials will be handled before sharing the code. Any proposed use of external AI tools must be agreed in advance.
A review supports informed decisions; it can’t eliminate every risk. It isn’t a security certification, compliance sign-off or substitute for specialist testing. Investment preparation isn’t a formal due-diligence opinion or an assurance that investors will approve.
